rebellion against political establishment [Robert Reich]
Robert Reich (Former Sec. of Labor under B. Clinton), writes that this election season may be a genuine threat to the “establishment”. By the way, from the looks of his blog, he seems to be a Bernie supporter.

I still can’t get past the belief that people respond so positively to Trump because they 1) Revere and respect money and 2) They’re used to and like seeing that kind of character on reality TV.
I think his main appeal has 2 parts.
(1) is that he is pissing on politicians who, to be honest, kindof deserve it.
(2) he is tapping into middle class vs working class resentment, and this is exacerbated by US demographics (middle class dwindling, working poor getting more numerous), by increased inequality, by some doubts about social mobility (not sure what the stats are there), and by a decade of fear-mongering that’s been soaking into our culture as a result of the so-called war on terror.
Which is ironic since he is filthy rich and almost certainly looks upon the middle class with contempt.
