Sen. John McCain
Sen. John McCain passed away last week. He had a family who loved and cared for him deeply, as just about all people do.
Personally, I don’t think it’s that great a time to talk about the politics that defined him as a public figure, distinguished Senator, etc.
Any honest criticism would become a disrespectful cheap shot now – taking advantage of a man’s death to attract an audience. Any praise made just for the sake of respect for the dead, while kind, would disrespect those who received the worst effects of the policies McCain advocated. He and they are now united.
A solemn moment of quiet and contemplation of what that might mean. We’re here on earth for a limited time, we ought to take care of each other.
