NY state: Mark your Calendar, Gubernatorial Primary on Sept 13th
The Dem. primary for NYS governor will be in 6 weeks. It will effectively decide the election. Andrew Cuomo vs Cynthia Nixon [ballotpedia]. Other state level elected positions will have primaries on that day as well.
Even though Cuomo is widely expected to win (current polls have him with a ~35% advantage), I think it’s worth voting for Nixon so that elected officials have reason to take progressive issues seriously.
